Dear concerned:

Please visit your doctor for your current symptoms.

HIV first, don't worry about your HIV Status. The Rapid test is bullcrap, its a cheap test that does not test for the virus itself. There is a window period of unknown length to more than a year (fear trip, i had it). When you are cleared from the current symptoms and feeling in perfect health, make a blood donation to the blood bank as they test every known disease including HIV.

Please avoid birth control pills and smoking. You and your body deserve better. Also, smoking makes a woman age faster and sound like a horse. My aunt looked like a prune in her 30s. I only want to tell you to stop smoking, if the entire world have not already told you. Smoking is an addiction, get over it.

Get tested before hitting the sack. Then you don't have to ask all these health questions and worry in the first place. Make sure you add in the test for HSV1 and HSV2, these two are herpes tests that are usually not included in STD testing in CDC clinics.

Again…98% of people will test positive 3 months after exposure. Your last contact was in December and you were tested in April. That is 4 months. You are most likely fine. In *rare* cases, HIV may not be detectable until 6 months after exposure. If you are still worried, get tested again.

From the HIVTest.org website:

Most people will develop detectable antibodies within 2 to 8 weeks (the average is 25 days). Even so, there is a chance that some individuals will take longer to develop detectable antibodies. Therefore, if the initial negative HIV test was conducted within the first 3 months after possible exposure, repeat testing should be considered >3 months after the exposure occurred to account for the possibility of a false-negative result. Ninety seven percent will develop antibodies in the first 3 months following the time of their infection. In very rare cases, it can take up to 6 months to develop antibodies to HIV.

Some of your symptoms fit Pregnancy too. It might be time to go to a doctor and ask him/her.
