Hiv Test?
ok i had an occurence 2 months befor my hiv test it came back neagtive but now im worrying becuse i was malnurished could this make it long for hiv to show up on the test

No, being malnourished has nothing to do with an HIV test. Nothing can interfere with the results of an HIV test. They usually reccomend getting tested 6 months after the unprotected sex or “occurence” because sometimes you can be exposed to HIV but your body will not make antibodies to it for 6 months, so to get a completely accurate result get tested in another 4 months and don’t worry too much. If this one came back negative 2 months after your ordeal, the next one most likely will too.

No, being malnourished won’t effect the result. However, the standard recommendation is to get tested 3 months after possible exposure. More than 98% of people who have HIV would test positive within 3 months. In very rare cases, it could take up to 6 months for someone to test positive. This could happen if someone has a damaged immune system before they get HIV, causing the body to take longer to produce the antibodies that the test is designed to detect.
