Early HIV AIDS Symptoms And Treatment

Crazy myths about AIDS and HIV abound all over the world. And there are so many desperate affected people spread out all over the world that they are willing to try anything to get better. But you have to remember that myths, legends and stories are just that! They are not going to be able to cure AIDS or remove the virus from your body. A few of the more common AIDS myths that are around are-

1. Santera to treat AIDS. This is a very common understanding that voodoo is good to treat AIDS and it can draw the virus from your body. Santera priests claim to be able to draw the virus from the body with cigar smoke and chicken blood. Rest assured that it does not work!
2. There is no AIDS! This is beyond ignorant but there is a large pool of people who believe that AIDS or HIV does not exist. The symptoms and deaths that have been contributed to the virus is due to something completely different that has not been disclosed to the public.
3. Having sex with a virgin will cure that AIDS. This is totally untrue and what is happening is that ignorant people are just spreading the virus to other innocent people. Virginity has nothing to do with curing AIDS.
4. Bisexual men or down-lows are the main cause of high incidences of AIDS. Down-lows are men who have sex with men and with women too but do not classify themselves as gay or bisexual. There is no real relationship between down-lows and AIDS rates but several people believe that they are reason for the spread of HIV from the gay community to the heterosexual community.
5. Drug companies are withholding the AIDS cure to make money. This one has been around for a long time now. The common understanding is that if there are sick people in the world and someone has a cure; the very first thing they would do is release it. Just imagine the money they would make from selling the drug or treatment to thousands of sick people. Just what benefit do they get from withholding medication from sick customers? Researchers who make the drugs can also get world wide acclaim in being the first people who have developed the treatment for AIDS.

Another very prominent rumor doing the rounds is that there is a treatment for AIDS in Africa which Magic Johnson has used to get cured. But that is not true! There is no treatment for AIDS. But there will be if researchers work just as hard as they doing now! Hope is always there and is the only crutch that thousands of infected use to survive.
